Who is IMPPaCT Research?

Updated: May 2, 2021

Hi everyone,

We are really hoping this blog post is the start of something special!

We are a group of researchers in the School of Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen's University focused on conducting meaningful and impactful pain and primary care research. We have been doing research on pain and primary care for a while, but we have been doing so without a name and we haven't done a very good job of establishing an online presence to help share our work. We are about to change that!

To achieve our goal of improving pain management and primary care through our research, we needed to make sure our research is visible. To do this, we needed a name and place to share our work.

Luckily, we have a very creative team member, Emily Hladkowicz, who gave us a name that fits perfectly: IMPPaCT Research. IMPPaCT stands for Improving Pain and Primary Care Together. It is not just a clever name or acronymn, but also emphasizes what we want to do - make an impact.

We will be using this blog and our social media to share our work more widely. We hope you will follow along, share our messages with others, and help us make an IMPPaCT!

Thank you in advance for your support

Jordan
